Diane & William Kent Krueger

Minnesota is Diane and William Kent Krueger's chosen home. It's where Diane went to law school, where they've raised their kids and the backdrop for many of Kent's bestselling novels.

"I love this place deeply," said the Iron Lake author. "I draw infinite inspiration from this idea of geography for the state and from its people. In every book I write that's set here is in a way a Valentine."

That love can be seen in their giving. For years through their donor advised fund at the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, the couple has supported organizations that align with the causes they care about, such as community and economic development, housing, environment and civic engagement.

Thanks to their Philanthropic Advisor, they have also been able to expand their giving to support initiatives they would have never known about, like the Rapid Response Fund, Community Leadership Fund and MN Forward Pooled Fund.
