Minnesota's Foundation
With roots in Saint Paul since our founding in 1940, the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation is Minnesota's largest statewide community foundation. Today we manage $1.9 billion in charitable assets and are the partner of choice for thousands of donors, nonprofits and community organizations.

Each year, alongside our donors, we facilitate more than 9,000 grants to the nonprofit community. We collaborate with communities in identifying, convening around and advocating for critical issues that affect the world today.

A History of Growing Good
The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, the state’s largest community foundation, has a rich history of serving the East Metro and communities across the state.
Our Foundation began in 1940 in the aftermath of the Great Depression and grew out of the combined efforts of two community foundations — The Saint Paul Foundation and the Minnesota Community Foundation — that over time aligned and merged into one.
