We inspire generosity, advocate for equity and invest in community-led solutions.
Inspiring Generosity
As Minnesota’s largest community foundation, we bring together the financial resources of families, individuals and organizations who care about Minnesota and then invest those resources back into the community.
Each year the Foundation, our donors and partners together make over 8,500 grants to agents and agencies of change. Our community is constantly inspiring generosity, and we are there, every step of the way. We are where giving grows.
Advocating for Equity
We are committed to dismantling a belief in a hierarchy of human value, with a focus on racial equity. As we work to create a just and vibrant Minnesota where all communities and people thrive, we know we can never realize our vision unless we advocate for equity.
We do this through our grantmaking, internal work and programs like our signature Facing Race Awards and Countering Hate events.
Investing in Community-led Solutions
We invest in community-led solutions by partnering with the community to identify, invest in and advocate for promising ideas that build capacity and magnify impact.
We are honored to invest in and partner with the agents and agencies of change who are working daily to address our most pressing issues. We support nonprofits through a variety of grant programs to strengthen and expand their work. View nonprofits we've funded.
We take an active role in many community initiatives that make the East Metro and Minnesota better for all who call them home.
Facing Race Awards
Our annual Facing Race Awards celebrate Minnesotans working to create a racially equitable community.
Through these community-nominated Awards, we celebrate and learn from those leading the way forward.
