The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation today announced that Alfonso Wenker will be joining the Foundation as the new Vice President of Community Impact.
As a member of the executive leadership team, Alfonso will serve as the Foundation’s chief strategist for grantmaking and community impact.
He brings 15+ years of expertise in strategic campaign work, organizational culture, cultural change and community engagement to his new role, which begins January 16.

“Alfonso is a known partner for the trusted legacy institutions of Minnesota and the emerging new leadership groups that, together, are helping us build an inclusive and equitable future for our community," he continued. "He is an experienced executive leader and facilitator of transformational culture and campaigns, having served in many major leadership roles within the field of philanthropy.”
Alfonso joins the Foundation from Team Dynamics LLC, where he served as President and Co-founder, leading the organization’s sales, finance and operations. He is a highly accomplished speaker and executive coach, having spoken at multiple events and conferences including The Forum on Workplace Inclusion Annual Conference and the national Council on Foundation’s HR Summit.
Alfonso’s work has earned him recognition as a Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, Minnesota Nonprofit Catalytic Leader, and as one of the Foundation’s Facing Race Award recipients.
“As someone born and raised in Saint Paul, I have long admired the Foundation’s work," said Alfonso. "It is an honor to join this incredible team and to support work within my own community. As a previous Facing Race Award recipient, I understand the importance of anchor institutions working to amplify racial equity efforts across communities."
