The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation Promotes Scott Zastoupil to Chief Financial Officer

The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation today announced that Scott Zastoupil has been promoted to the position of chief financial officer. Zastoupil previously served as the Foundation’s associate vice president of finance–controller, a position he held since joining Minnesota’s largest community foundation in 2018.

Zastoupil previously worked as finance and accounting senior manager at RBC Global Asset Management, which provides a full-range of investment solutions for investors around the world. Prior, he worked at Ernst & Young, one of the largest professional services firms in the world, as an auditor in asset management.

“We are delighted that Scott will continue to impact the financial health of the Foundation by providing leadership, direction and management of our finance and accounting teams,” said Dr. Eric Jolly, president and CEO of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation. “He is passionate about improving the communities that we live in. His oversight, vision and experience will help us continue to execute our long-term business planning and serve our many constituents.”

Since joining the Foundation nearly two years ago, Zastoupil said that it has been a privilege to participate in the important work that the Foundation supports in the east metro and throughout the state of Minnesota.

“I’m thrilled to continue this work in my new role, and I look forward to deepening engagements with our donors, partners and community stakeholders,” said Zastoupil. “It is an honor to be a part of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation as a trusted steward of our generous donor and nonprofit partner philanthropy.”

Zastoupil holds a Master of Accountancy and a Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is a member of the board of trustees and finance and investment committee for The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library. Zastoupil also serves as board treasurer for Twin Cities Food Justice. He traveled to Brazil as an Ernst & Young Earthwatch Ambassador where he developed and presented business strategies to local businesses and co-operatives. Zastoupil has also volunteered with Northland Sustainable Solutions, Minds Matter Twin Cities and Junior Achievement.

Founded in Saint Paul in 1940, the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation is Minnesota’s largest community foundation and the partner of choice for thousands of donors, professional advisors, nonprofits and community organizations. The Foundation supports more than 2,000 charitable organizations and donor funds and manages $1.5 billion in assets, including F. R. Bigelow Foundation and Mardag Foundation.
