TSEGA TAMENE JOINS THE COMMUNITY IMPACT TEAM AS SENIOR DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY IMPACT.
The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation today announced that Tsega Tamene joined the Foundation as Senior Director of the Community Impact team. Tsega brings 10+ years of expertise in public health, applied research, organizational capacity and community-led social change.
“Tsega’s highly relational approach to community-led change will be a wonderful addition to our team’s leadership,” Alfonso Wenker, vice president of Community Impact. “I’m looking forward to learning with and partnering with Tsega to resource the work of East Metro and Greater Minnesota leaders working to build thriving, equitable communities.”
Tsega joins the Foundation from Pillsbury United Communities where she’s held several roles – most recently Head of Advancement. There she stewarded their vision and strategy for sustainable impact through agency-wide fundraising and evaluation efforts. During her time at Pillsbury United, Tsega helped guide the cultural and strategic direction of 100+ staff and founded the Twin Cities Community Health Worker Hub.
In her new role at the Foundation, Tsega will provide leadership on community impact and capacity building strategies.
