Linda Garrett-Johnson is a Program Officer with a broad background that includes authentic community engagement, at-risk youth development, six sigma business process, organizational development, human-centered design, and grant writing/management (including federal, corporate and community foundations).
She serves on the Board of Firefly Sisterhood, which provides free, personalized one-to-one support for women who have been impacted by a breast cancer diagnosis. Linda’s background also includes the creation of Community Engagement Ambassadors – Dakota County and the Center for Intersectional Leadership.
Linda developed The Word Applied, Inc., a consulting company providing authentic engagement strategies, organizational capacity building, training and technical assistance. She holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational development from Metropolitan State University and is a certified six sigma Black Belt (business process improvement).
In her free time, Linda enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and her dog, Foxy.
