As director of marketing & communications, Kathleen Smith translates strategic vision into actionable plans. As the project manager for her department, she follows projects and initiatives from ideation through execution. Her favorite part of the job is thinking ‘big picture’ about the stories we can tell and how to provide the best services to our community and donors. She joined the Foundation in 2015. Before that, Kathleen was communications manager for YouthLink.
Her career in the nonprofit sector has also included fundraising, development and event planning. Kathleen earned a bachelor’s in international relations and Arabic from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. In her spare time, she loves to read, make and eat food, travel and enjoy the company of her family and friends.
