As a philanthropic advisor, Heidi Tieszen partners with individuals, couples, multi-generational families and corporations to realize their charitable goals and make an impact on the causes they care about. She appreciates the diversity of interests and experiences that each fundholder brings to the Foundation and is inspired by the generosity of our community. Heidi is a 21/64 Certified Advisor.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Heidi worked in development at Children’s Hospitals & Clinics of Minnesota for six years. She previously worked in marketing at companies like Bain Capital and Bain & Company. She graduated with an English degree from Augustana College (now University) in her hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Heidi serves as a board member of the Real Estate Riders, a bike team raising money for the MS Society, and previously served on the Jungle Theater board in Minneapolis. She also regularly volunteers at Every Meal.
Before moving to the Twin Cities in 2012, Heidi lived in Chicago, San Francisco/Oakland and Boston. She resides in Saint Paul with her partner, Doug, and their dog, Kona. Heidi enjoys bike riding, reading, gardening, cooking, and traveling.
