Danielle Gangelhoff

Director, Financial Reporting & Analysis

Danielle has dedicated her career in the nonprofit sector, helping organizations turn big ideas into tangible results through leadership in finance, governance, operations, program management, and organizational development. In her current role at the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, Danielle leads budgeting processes, provides proactive financial planning and analysis, and supports both internal and external financial storytelling. She believes that finance isn’t just about numbers—it’s about making informed, strategic decisions that drive impact. Before joining the Foundation, she spent just over five years at Native Governance Center (NGC), first as Director of Finance & Administration and later taking on the role of Interim Executive Director. During her time at NGC, Danielle was recognized by Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal as a 40 under 40 leader. Prior to that, she developed and led the fiscal sponsorship program at Propel Nonprofits, helping emerging organizations build the financial and operational capacity needed to advance their missions. Danielle is passionate about making finance accessible—and maybe even a little fun. She loves tackling dilemmas, brainstorming creative solutions, and applying a growth mindset to every challenge. When she’s not demystifying nonprofit finance, Danielle can be found serving as a board member and coach of Girls on the Run Minnesota, digging in her garden, hiking with her two pups, or prepping for her next globetrot.
